Junior Media Planner/Buyer

Boathouse is looking for a Junior Media Planner/Buyer to join our growing Media team. In this position, the ideal candidate would be qualified to:

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in development of media strategies and recommendations across TV, Radio, Print, Digital and OOH

  • Maintain day‐to‐day planning/buying of all channels to ensure smooth running of campaigns. Responsible for campaign set-up, account record keeping including insertion orders, vendor invoices and client authorizations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors

  • Create and manage media buys from negotiation through placement, trafficking and post-buy analysis

  • Monitor budgets and ensure deadlines are met

  • Work collaboratively with media, ad ops, analytics, creative and account team members

  • Stay up to date and be a resource on the latest news and technology that affects our industry and clients

Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

  • 2+ years of media agency experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated/proactive, with the ability to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines

  • Effective time management and organizational skills as well as strong attention to detail

  • Capable of working independently and managing projects from start to finish

  • Obsessive about the quality of your work, and thrive in a fast‐paced environment

  • Must exhibit professionalism and confidence in working with vendors, team members and clients

  • Passion for understanding how marketing can achieve business goals

  • Knowledge of STRATA is a plus, but not necessary
