Senior Marketing Analyst

Boathouse is hiring a Senior Marketing Analyst to help clients turn marketing data into clear reporting, useful insight, and better decisions.

This is a hybrid role: part marketing analyst, part BI/dashboard builder, part data problem-solver, and part client-facing advisor. The right candidate understands paid media and marketing performance, can work with messy datasets, can build reliable dashboards, and can explain what the data means in plain language--someone who can connect the dots between data structure, campaign performance, and client recommendations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, maintain, and improve client-facing dashboards and reports in Domo or similar BI platforms.

  • Connect, clean, transform, and QA marketing data from paid media, web analytics, CRM, social, email, and client-provided sources.

  • Use BI logic, calculated fields, ETL workflows, and basic SQL or SQL-like thinking to structure data for reporting.

  • Analyze marketing and paid media performance to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and risks.

  • Translate data into clear insights, implications, and recommendations for clients.

  • Diagnose data quality issues, tracking gaps, connector problems, and reporting inconsistencies.

  • Partner with media, strategy, account, and client teams to align reporting with business goals.

  • Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Manage multiple analytics workstreams, deadlines, and client needs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in marketing analytics, media analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.

  • Hands-on experience with BI platforms such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, ETL logic, calculated fields, or similar data transformation methods.

  • Experience working with marketing performance data, especially paid media, web analytics, CRM, social, or email data.

  • Understanding of common digital marketing metrics, including impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, CPM, conversions, CPA, ROAS, engagement rate, sessions, leads, and funnel conversion.

  • Strong ability to QA data, investigate discrepancies, and troubleshoot reporting issues.

  • Ability to turn data into business-relevant insight, not just reporting outputs.

  • Experience presenting analysis, dashboards, or recommendations to clients or senior stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort explaining technical topics in plain language.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum B.A./B.S. preferably with emphasis on marketing

  • 5-7 years professional experience

  • Sample work submission required. Please include relevant work samples, case studies, dashboards, reports, or analysis examples that demonstrate your ability to translate marketing performance data into clear client implications, business context, and recommended next steps/optimizations.

Full-time hire only.

Full remote and hybrid flexible available. Candidate does have to be available to work during U.S. East Coast hours (8:30–5:30 ET).
