Boathouse Internship Program
Experience agency life in action.
Our internship program offers interns hands-on experience, combining one-on-one mentorship with team-based campaign development, while providing industry insights and a deep dive into Boathouse.
About the Program
The internship program at Boathouse has grown significantly since its beginnings in 2001, when our founders enlisted a local MBA student to help out during the summer. By 2009, the program began to take shape, with two interns working closely with account directors. In 2012, it was formalized into a structured and comprehensive experience, welcoming groups of interns each summer to engage with the world of marketing.
Today, our remote program is designed to immerse students in the dynamic environment of our agency, offering both practical experience, and a deeper understanding of the industry and Boathouse itself. It is anchored by two key pillars: personalized mentorship and team-based integrated campaign development.
Interns gain hands-on experience by collaborating with various departments, assisting with ongoing projects, and participating in Department 101 sessions with Creative, Analytics, Media, and Account for foundational learning.
"The internship program was an incredible learning experience. It deepened my understanding of the industry and introduced me to areas I hadn’t considered before. I thought I knew what to expect going in, but it pushed me to explore new roles and challenges. I gained insight into the variety of opportunities available and developed a clearer sense of where I want to focus my career."- Ben Abbott, 2024 Summer Intern
