As a firm, our goal is to continue introducing diverse perspectives into our supply chain to drive innovation and meet the changing needs of our clients. As one of our actions toward equity, we have set a goal of doubling spending with diverse suppliers over the three years. This delivers richer experiences for our people, improved client outcomes, and a better world for all. We strive to drive sustainable and inclusive growth across all the communities in which we work and support our clients and partners. 

We aim to foster a supplier climate that encourages diverse vendors to compete for business. We strive to reduce barriers to participation in our purchasing activities and are committed to building relationships with diverse vendors. Below are the five main strategies of our Supplier Diversity Program. Our Supplier Diversity efforts include the following:

  • Support of small business, minority-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned, disability-owned, LGBTQ+ Owned, with or without certification.

  • Supplier Support: Providing diverse suppliers with onboarding and opportunities to engage in business practices at Boathouse.

  • Boathouse Supplier Diversity Education: Informing internal departments on supporting and hiring diverse suppliers and providing resources to help identify diverse suppliers in different sectors.

  • Leadership Support: Engaging department leaders on best practices in integrating diverse suppliers into procurement processes. 

  • Identifying services/products well represented by small and diverse businesses and proactively contacting qualified vendors when sourcing opportunities are available.

  • Actively supporting and participating with the advocacy agencies that support the growth, development, and certification of diverse companies, including:
     

    • Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)

    • National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)

    • National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)

    • US Business Leadership Network (USBLN)

    • National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC)

    • Disability-owned through Disability:IN 

Diverse Supplier Qualification: Does Your Business Qualify?

Certification validates that a business is owned, managed, operated, and controlled by a diverse supplier. Additionally, certifications can assist your business in accessing various public and private contract opportunities.
